About 1 Carat Lab Grown Diamonds

A 1 carat diamond is a classic size for an engagement ring. This search opens on loose lab-grown diamonds from 1.00 to 1.19 carats in all nine shapes, each with an IGI or GIA grading report. Quality filters open on G color or better, VS2 clarity or better and an Excellent cut; widen any of them to see more. Shape changes how big a carat looks: an oval, pear or marquise spreads its weight over a longer outline and usually looks larger face-up than a round. Each diamond is sourced for your order and arrives in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Looking at other sizes? Search 1.5 carats, 2 carats or 3 carats lab-grown diamonds.

1 Carat Diamond Questions

How big is a 1 carat diamond?

A 1 carat round brilliant measures about 6.5 mm across. Other shapes of the same weight have different outlines, and elongated shapes such as ovals usually look larger face-up.

Does a 1 carat lab grown diamond look different from a natural one?

No. A lab-grown and a natural diamond of the same size and quality look the same; only a gemological lab can tell them apart, and your grading report states the origin.

Can I set a loose 1 carat diamond in an engagement ring?

Yes. Book a video or phone appointment and we will help you pair it with one of our settings. Loose diamonds are final sale, so we are glad to help you choose first.
