The Bells of Ireland hoop earrings alternate rectangular emeralds with small square diamonds, set in a row across the front in 14k gold. Each emerald is step cut and set lengthwise in short claws, with a diamond between each pair, so the row reads green, light, green.

They hang just below the lobe, and the plain polished back keeps the color at the front, where it is seen. Like the green bells stacked along the flower's stem, the emeralds climb the hoop in even steps.
