About Yellow Gold Engagement Rings
Yellow gold is the classic engagement ring metal, with a warm color that is easy to pair with other gold jewelry. Every ring here is made in 14k or 18k yellow gold: 14k is harder and wears well every day, and 18k has a richer color and a higher gold content. Choose a lab-grown or natural center diamond from 1 to 4.5 carats with an IGI or GIA report; each ring is made to order in our Chicago studio in about 4 to 6 weeks.
From our guides
Yellow Gold Questions
Is 14k or 18k yellow gold better for an engagement ring?
14k gold is 58.3% pure gold and harder, so it resists scratches and dents better in everyday wear. 18k gold is 75% pure gold, with a deeper yellow color, and is a little softer. Every ring here is offered in both.
Does yellow gold tarnish?
No. 14k and 18k yellow gold do not tarnish or change color. Like any metal, gold picks up fine scratches with wear, which a professional polish removes; we care for your ring at cost.
Can I see a ring in another metal?
Yes. Every ring here is also made in 14k white gold, 14k or 18k rose gold and platinum: choose the metal on the ring’s page and the photos change to match.
